Nov I Love to Write Day

12th annual “I Love To Write Day” — November 15, 2014.

Founded in 2002 by Delaware author John Riddle, “I Love To Write Day” is celebrated now in over 30,000 schools in the United States. Bookstores, libraries, community centers and everyday people also join in the fun.

“My goal for “I Love To Write Day” is to have people of all ages spend time writing,” says Riddle.

Authors and writers

•  Attend “I Love to Write Day” programs at local bookstores, libraries, senior centers, community centers, malls and schools

•  Talk to the audience about what it takes to become a published writer and author

•  Talk about the importance of writing, and how it is never too late to start writing

•  Encourage everyone to write something: a poem, a love letter, a short story, an essay, start a novel

Librarians

•  Host special I Love To Write Day programs

•  Invite local authors and writers to lecture on how a books are written

•  Show to research material for a newspaper or magazine article

•  Put writing related books on display
