July 23 — National Vanilla Ice Cream Day (in U.S.)
We were so pleased when we found that there’s a day to celebrate our favorite flavor — Vanilla.
We like Vanilla. As well as everything described as “plain vanilla.”
Its easy to celebrate Vanilla Ice Cream Day on a hot summer day like today. Enjoy it in a cone, dish, float, shake, or cake. Eat it quickly before it melts.

We cannot find the the origin or creator of this day, no documentation confirming this to be a “National” day, no congressional records or presidential proclamation.
Accordingly, we are adding it to our list of Orphan Days — days mentioned on lists of holidays throughout the year — yet the origins of the days are unknown.
