Thousands of visitors come to New Alresford in Hampshire the third Sunday of May every year to celebrate watercress.
It’s an informative and attractive festival with street markets, food and drinks stalls, cookery demonstrations, a farmers’ market, and falcons.
The highlight for many is Watercress Eating Championship at 15:00. Spectators are in stitches.
