Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th — 3/14.
Pi — “π” (sixteenth letter of the Greek alphabet) — is used in mathematics for the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter.
Pi is approximately 3.14159, which is why Pi Day falls on 3/14.
The fascination with pi is as irrational as the equation itself. Pi is a mystery. The digits for pi never end or repeat in any way:
Some believe that pi contains the answer to the universe, or that there is hidden information within the never ending numbers They are working on discovering the answer to the mystery of pi.
There are PI Clubs where members memorize the numbers, hold contests to see who can memorize the most numbers. This is a good activity for dull men.
