Stairs or Esclator?

In the video attached below, there are stairs next to an escalator.

At first almost no one took the stairs — 97% took the escalator.

Then a few engineers decided to change the percentages around.

The engineers cleverly fixed the stairs.

After that, a whopping 66% more people take the stairs than ride the escalator.
