London’s Open Garden Squares Weekend
This is the one weekend each year you can go inside these private gardens that usually are under lock and key. Only privileged residents residing near the parks have the keys.
Over 200 squares will be open to the public.
It’s a great time to go inside and enjoy the many comfortable park benches. If you are a member of our Park Bench Appreciation Society, you can take photos, post them on the group’s Facebook page.
But are these squares really squares? Most of them are not.
The truth is that many are rectangles. And there is at least one oval. There’s even a trapezoid.
