Fruitcakes flying in downtown Manitou Springs. It started in 1995.
At this one-of-a-kind event, enthusiasts from all across America as well as abroad compete for trophies and bragging rights. Hapless fruitcakes are launched into space using various mechanical and pneumatic devices. Competitions include the Hand Toss, Kid’s Toss, Launch, Pneumatic Gun and Canon Tosses, Team Catch, and Accuracy.
The fruitcake toss is the big event of the winter season in Manitoba Springs.
