January 4 each year is celebrated as Trivia Day. We love trivia. We bone up on it, espeically when we are scheduled to attend one of those boring dinner parties — with trivia, we can be a hit — it’s safe excitement for us.

The origins of Trivia day are not known — lost in the shrouds of history.
Perhaps Trivia Day was started by people who received Trivial Pursuit as Christmas gifts. They were still playing it into early January so named a day in its honor.
Perhaps it was started by people with college degrees in uselessology.
