National Day of Listening is a relatively new unofficial national holiday started by StoryCorps in 2008. We are encouraged to record stories of families and friends.
It occurs the day after Thanksgiving as that’s a time when families are likely to be spending time together.
It is an alternative to Black Friday, which is a nightmare of consumerism.
We each have two ears but only one mouth. Doesn’t that mean we should listen twice as much as we speak?
