At yesterday’s 43rd annual World Pea Shooting Championships in Witcham, Rod Bresler, from Ely, retained his title as World Champion. He shot down 23 out of 25.
It runs in the family. Rod’s daughter Madeline won the crown for Child’s Champ.
Runner up for the men was Toby Bush. The woman’s champion was Helen Phillips.

The newspaper reports that, in addition to plenty of peas, there were teas, coffees, cakes, and alcoholic refreshments at Town Hall.
